Muñoz Dispute Resolution
I launched Muñoz Dispute Resolution after 20 years as a litigator in Sacramento because I grew to appreciate the value of early resolution in bringing satisfaction and closure to clients. In the lengthy and emotionally-charged process of litigation, the personal touch of a compassionate and engaged mediator can make all the difference.
My litigation practice focused on professional liability, employment, and personal injury claims with an emphasis on professional liability defense work, particularly legal malpractice claims. I am a Certified Specialist in Legal Malpractice Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, and I served as the Chairperson for the Legal Malpractice Law Advisory Committee.
When I was not defending professional liability claims, I represented employers, as well as employees, in a variety of employment-related claims such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims, as well as defending catastrophic personal injury claims.
For the past several years, I have acted as a Dispute Resolution Conference judge for El Dorado County Superior Court, and more recently, a judge pro temp for Sacramento County Superior Court’s Settlement Conference Department. My approach is further informed by the renowned Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law mediation training program.
At MDR, we will always be prepared to address the specific nuances of your case. My method includes direct engagement before, during, and after your mediation. From our first contact until the mediation process is complete, I dedicate myself to a successful resolution for all parties involved. You can read more about my extensive experience here.
I look forward to working with you,
